Dear friends and partners,
Good morning to all of you- I have seen pictures of snow and wintery weather from some and high heat and beaches from others. What a wonderful world we live in. This morning I want to take the opportunity to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and the best in the new year.
At Tabitha we are so thankful for this joyous season – we are thankful for the blessings you and us have been able to bring to so many. Our cottage industry program keeps growing providing work and dignity for our ladies – women who were sold into prostitution so many years ago – women who have risen above this sadness to become ladies of strength and courage – women of dignity and hope. So many of you have enabled this to happen trough buying one of their beautiful creations – how good is that! Please watch this short video and hear our best wishes for all of you.
Our development work continues as so many of you have stood with us. This Christmas our desire is for many of you to stand with our newest families – families that do not live in comfortable homes or easy to get to places – families who struggle each day to put food on the table – to have enough water to wash with – who struggle to put their children in school. These are families for whom Christmas is a distant and unknown dream as the day to day struggles of life consume their waking hours. It costs us $25.00 USD per year to work with a family in savings – 10,000 families this year is our goal. Perhaps this Christmas you can stand with one of our families – how good that would be!
Christmas – the season of hope – the season of grace and mercy – I celebrate my God for the gifts that each of you bring to our families here. We wish you all the best this holiday season and look forward to walking with you in the new year.
